This Is A Conversion Done By Deepak Chopra, INC To A Automatic Knife. The CRKT Piston Activated Lock or P.A.L., designed by Ron Lake, has just one hardened piston which acts as a stop pin as well as a locking and release mechanism. Ron has used this locking mechanism in handmade knives, but this is the first production application. Swing open the blade with either hand, using one of the CNC machined nail nicks, and you hear a crisp "click". There is a degree of authority in the lockup that is the result of hardened steel on steel. Releasing the blade takes a firm press on the button, not an action that will occur accidentally. One hand closing is fast and easy, aided by Teflon® bearings at the blade pivot. This contemporary design with a traditional handle material features a 2-3/4" hollow ground drop point blade of AUS-8 high carbon stainless at 57-59 Rc. The 3-7/8" 420 stainless frame is accented by amber jigged bone scales. Weighs 4.8 oz. Ships with a handsome leather pouch. Does not have a clip.
