The Crossbill's hollow-ground blade is manufactured using 8Cr13Mov stainless steel, which contains both molybdenum and vanadium, enhancing the blade's ability to hold a sharp cutting surface and wear less over time and use.
The illustrated Spyderco Crossbill Byrd Knife features a 3.25" part serrated hawkbill blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The blade has a comet shaped hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The stainless steel handle, 4.55" closed, has a Boye dent lockback and lanyard hole. An end to end reversible metal pocket clip is included. The Spyderco Crossbill Byrd Knife has an overall length of 7.8" when open and weighs 5.7 ounces.
